FAQ’s

I have an EHCP – can I come to college?

The local authority in which you live will send us a copy of your EHCP and we will then decide between us if we can meet your needs. You will be invited into college with your parents / carers so that we can look at your EHCP in more detail.

I have an EHCP and don’t want to study A levels – can you help me to get a job?

If you have an EHCP then we offer a successful Supported Internship programme, where you will be given all the support you need to assess your skills, find placements and secure employment.

I have an EHCP and am not sure what I would like to do after college – can you help me?

The college has a specialist SEN Careers Advisor who sees all EHCP students, gives them advice and guidance, and signposts them to ensure they get the support they need.

Can I still follow the Preparing for Adulthood agenda?

The PFA agenda is at the heart of the curriculum in the Endeavour Faculty and all courses have elements of this agenda within them.

I do not attend school and am electively home educated – can you help me to get some qualifications?

We are able to offer a study programme to a small number of Year 10 and Year 11 young people who are no longer at school. Please get in touch to find out more.

How will I travel to college?

Students can apply for an Arriva Student Saver Ticket (a replacement of the previous Teen Mover card) – this is valid for travel on public transport around the whole of the North East during off peak hours and weekends.

We also operate special routes to collect students from across the area and drop them off on the campus. This costs 50p per journey.

Endeavour Faculty operate a minibus service for the most vulnerable students. This is by prior arrangement only and the eligibility details will be discussed during the initial visit and if relevant you will be told how to apply.

Students are not able to park cars on the campus during the day but there are public car parks within easy walking distance of the college. We have free motorbike and bicycle parking on site.

Will I get the same exam arrangements as I had at school?

Because you are moving from school to college, we will need to re-assess you. Your tutors will work with you to ensure that you are referred for assessment and this will take place as soon as possible.  We will let you know as soon as your access arrangements have been finalised.
